***Art Smocks!***

In our upcoming project First Graders will be mixing paint. If you don't already have an art smock at school, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring one in. You don't need anything fancy, an old shirt works the best!

Call for Art!!!

 

The Shen Literary Magazine needs art work for their Fall publication. If you would like to submit Art Work, Poetry, or a Short Story you can do so by filling out the a submission form (found outside my door) and give it to me, or email Ms. Sautter at sautjami@shenet.org   All art work will be published in black and white! The deadline for entries is 11/08/12.

The new S.O.A.R names are posted! Make sure you check out who is S.O.A.Ring in the art room!

The Deadline for Reflections entries is coming up FAST!

Next Friday is the deadline for submitting Reflections entries!!! Why not use this weekend to get your creative juices flowing and make something that Reflects on "the Magic of a Moment."

Don't Forget Reflections!!!

Don't forget to have your students create and submit their PTA sponsored Reflections entry. This years theme is, "The Magic of a Moment." The work can be submitted in Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts!
*ALL ENTRIES MUST BE LEFT IN THE REFLECTIONS BOX OUTSIDE THE MAIN OFFICE BY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12 @ 3pm!!!!!!!!
There will be a Reflections Ceremony with a Certificate of Participation and a Goody Bag for all who enter!!!

 

October is here!

October is here! September went by too fast. Our first month in the art room has been very productive. All of the students have been given special Art Room Jobs, and are working in teams this year!
This week in the art room we are taking a break from our projects and our jobs to complete our Art SLO's (Student Learning Objectives). Currently students are taking the pre-assessments, these assessments take one class period to complete, and all classes will have taken them by Thursday!
Then it will be back to learning about and producing Art!!!
